My Jamaican Gem of a Place

I always look forward to a good trip whether it be long vacations, weekends getaways or overnight stays. If its a road trip, I am in. I was surprised with a well deserved birthday treat – a weekend trip to a local hide away in St. Elizabeth and I was very impressed with everything this place had to offer: the sea, fresh air, the staff, accommodation, meals, the spa and the neighbouring parts of the parish in which I really got to enjoy the natural wonders of this part of my homeland.

If you are the outdoor type like me that is up for an off the beaten path weekend in Jamaica, then Jakes (St.Elizabeth) is absolutely one of the places you should visit. You will not be disappointed.

Discovering this gem of a place has been amazing and to make it even that more special, an article I wrote on Jakes was recently published by a travel guide: Travelicious. In hopes that you will make it a to do, you can check out the full article here http://travelicious.world/a-piece-of-jamaica/

Sometimes a different pace is what is really needed to relax, reset and regroup.
